zOSEM (Vendor: Trident Services, US)
zOSEM provides a multitude of features for improved control, throughput, standards enforcement and processing efficiency in a z/OS enterprise server processing environment. Throughput management is implemented using a holistic set of enterprise standards control functions.
The time and expense of developing, testing and implementing system modifications (e.g. installation exits) is eliminated. No JES2 source modifications are required.
All functions are supported by standard JES2, SMF, DFSMShsm, RACF, ISPF, ALLOC, TSO exit points and macros. The need for production IPL's when adding or modifying exits or SVC's is also eliminated. Security interfaces to RACF, CA-ACF2 or CA-Top Secret are provided to allow access to all zOSEM controls.
ISPF interfaces are also provided to set zOSEM control options. All zOSEM controls can be implemented immediately or deferred to the next IPL. zOSEM supports OS/390 2.7 through all supported releases of z/OS.
